Center for Houston’s Future is a nonpartisan nonprofit think tank that works to understand future global trends and their impact on the Greater Houston region. We focus on issues that are critical to the long-term success of Greater Houston. In short, we aim to ensure Houston remains a great place to live and work for all its residents.

Our story

Three decades of shaping Houston’s future

  1. 1992

    Founded

    Established as an affiliate of the Greater Houston Partnership to lead research projects and educational programs for the region.

  2. 2000

    Independent

    Spun off with an independent board to deepen the bench and widen the circle of civic leadership across Greater Houston.

  3. Today

    1,400+ leaders strong

    An independent affiliate of the Partnership, continuing to graduate leaders and drive long-term regional strategy.
