The Center for Houston’s Future inspires leaders to identify matters of the highest importance to the long-term future of the Greater Houston region and to collaborate in addressing those challenges for the benefit of all.
Since 2000, the Center for Houston’s Future Business/Civic Leadership Forum has engaged more than 1,400 diverse leaders from across the Greater Houston region through an immersive three-month civic leadership program. Through expert speakers, facilitated discussions, and experiential Learning Journeys, participants explore the critical social, economic, and environmental challenges shaping the Greater Houston region. The results are many life-changing community projects—spun off from the Forums—and a cohort of civic entrepreneurs cultivating deeper civic responsibility while working to build a more vibrant, resilient, and equitable Houston.
Held twice yearly in Houston, the Business/Civic Leadership Forum builds passionate civic leaders as diverse as the Houston region itself, drawing on participants’ business and leadership skills to drive lasting change. For both proven and emerging leaders, our Business/Civic Leadership Forums develop a deeper understanding of the challenges in our community and foster a new sense of responsibility for the future.
